  2. 1 Nov 2026

EDT to EST. New York session and 17:00 New York rollover move 1 hour later in UTC.

  3. 14 Mar 2027

    US and Canada

EST to EDT. New York session and rollover move 1 hour earlier in UTC.

  4. 28 Mar 2027

*Previous calendar day in UTC. Times show when the actual cash market opens. CFD hours on Taurex Prime may start earlier or end later if an instrument is based on futures prices; check the instrument details in your platform.

Platform Server Time

The Taurex Prime MT5 server runs on GMT+3 while the US observes daylight saving time and GMT+2 otherwise, so 00:00 server time matches the 17:00 New York close. The server clock therefore changes on 1 Nov 2026 and 14 Mar 2027.

During both out-of-sync periods, European instruments open and close one hour later than usual on the platform clock. Asian instruments move by one hour on the platform clock each time the server time changes. Open positions are not affected by these server time changes.

Market holidays

Exchange Holidays and Early Closes

Closures and shortened sessions on the main exchanges behind our index, share, commodity and FX liquidity. “Closed” refers to the underlying cash market; related CFDs may still trade on reduced hours where futures remain open.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the gap between London and New York change for a week?

The UK and EU end daylight saving time on the last Sunday in October; the US follows on the first Sunday in November. Between 25 and 31 Oct 2026 the gap is four hours instead of five. The same happens in spring, from 14 to 27 Mar 2027.

If an exchange is closed, can I still trade the related CFD?

It depends on the instrument. Some index and commodity CFDs reference futures that trade on modified hours while the cash market is closed. Instrument-specific hours are set out in our holiday notices and in the platform's instrument specifications.

Is FX available on Christmas Day and New Year's Day?

FX trading on Taurex Prime is closed on 25 Dec 2026 and 1 Jan 2027. Interbank activity is minimal on both days, and the sessions either side may show wider spreads.

Are crypto CFDs available over holidays?

Underlying crypto markets operate every day. Liquidity can still be thinner, and prices more volatile, during holiday periods.

How often is this calendar updated?

Every month. We review this calendar monthly and update it sooner if an exchange announces a change. Exchanges and governments can amend holidays and trading hours, sometimes at short notice, so each exchange's own calendar remains the definitive source.
